Metagenomics

First column represents reads name (illumina sequence read identifiers) and second column represents functional annotation of enzymatic category that assigned to each read. Each rows represents sequence reads with its predicted enzymatic function.

EC-5 means class 5 isomerases enzyme(rearrange their atoms within the same molecule.), EC-5.4 meansfunctional group transfer from one position to another position within same molecule(intramolecular transferases),EC 5.4.2 represents phosphotransferases enzyme(phsphomutases),here, phosphate group moves one carbon atom to another carbon atom like Glucose-1-phosphateàGlucose-6-phosphate.

Phosphate remain attached to glucose molecule but change their position like glycogen metabolism, glycolysis, metabolism of energy, biosynthesis of carbohydrate(e.g phosphoglucomutase, Bisphosphoglycerate mutase).
